God designed children to demonstrate what true faith would look like for us adults. At Awaken, we desire to point kids to Jesus and his great love for them each and every week! Our AKids experience is designed to engage your kids in worship, understand Bible stories at their age level, how it applies to their lives, and have FUN!

BABIES + TODDLERS

6 WEEKS – 23 MONTHS

We provide a clean and spacious environment to ensure your child has age-appropriate toys and activities for a fun and engaging Sunday experience. Our nursery team is committed to providing the best care so that you can experience a worship service and encounter Jesus knowing your infant is being loved and prayed over.

PRESCHOOL

3-5 YEARS OLD

Our preschool classes are designed to engage children through music, storytelling, and imaginative play. These kids are given space to interact with their environment as they discover what they are capable of while they begin to develop their faith. We believe that our faith grows through relationships and we get the opportunity to help cultivate these relationships with students and teachers in a fun and intentional way.

ELEMENTARY

K – 6TH GRADE

Kids are given space to explore what it means to make their faith their own. Through worship, storytelling, and activities, elementary-aged kids have the opportunity to connect with God, and become equipped to walk out their faith during the week. We continue cultivating relationships with students and teachers through our in-class small groups.

SAFETY

The safety of all children in AKids is our number one priority. Policies and procedures are posted and implemented in each classroom. In addition to a secure check-in process, every AKids Team and Staff Member undergoes a background check and orientation process prior to serving.

FAMILY

We are grateful to get to partner with parents as you disciple your children. Our goal is to resource and equip you to continue conversations in your home throughout the week.

RELATIONSHIPS

We encourage our AKids team to serve on a consistent basis and with a consistent service time and class. This helps create an environment where our team can develop and deepen relationships with the children, as well as fellow team members. We believe that faith grows in the context of relationships.

FUN

Our primary focus is teaching children the love of Jesus in a safe and welcoming environment, but we love to have FUN doing it! You can expect to find us singing, dancing, playing games, and having a blast learning about Jesus. It’s a win for us hearing about kids who can’t wait to come back to church!
