We gather together for worship. Worship happens both vertically with God and also horizontally with other people. Vertical worship is seen through singing, praying, and listening to teaching from the Bible. Horizontal worship happens as we love and serve one another as the church. On any given Sunday, you will experience an atmosphere of worship from the time you pull into the parking lot until the moment you leave. We value the importance of gathering for worship together.
We grow in faith together. It is not good for people to be alone. God designed us for relationship with Him and with other people. To grow effectively as a follower of Jesus, we believe this happens in the context of an AGroups where true community can be developed and disciple-making can occur. AGroups are the best way to grow together as we grow closer to Christ. In these groups, we are best able to learn, care for one another, and serve others better together than we ever could alone.
We get to give to God. As followers of Christ, we are called to be generous with our money and our time. Because we believe the words of Jesus who said “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” we practice generosity in every aspect of our lives. Our money and our time are great indicators of where our loyalties lie. God has made us stewards of everything He has given to us so we are called to live and give generously in return.
We go and make disciples. The last thing Jesus told us to do before he returned to heaven was “go and make disciples.” We believe this begins by inviting others into what God is doing in our lives. By sharing our stories of life-change and inviting anyone and everyone into what God is doing, we actively engage the community around us. We believe that God has a plan for every life and desires a relationship with all people. We will go make disciples and do our part to introduce others to Jesus.
